World's Longest Scuba Submergence

[Day 01]
Launch Day Tampines Mall (16-17 Dec 2005)

What an amazing day. I'm finally in the dive tank. The record attempt has begun. Getting dressed turned out to be an enormous task.

The duct tape wouldn't stick well, I had to sit under a tent with my dive suit on and no fan for a good 45 mins while the paramedics & Dr Mike Ong apply silicone grease & tape me up.

I felt like an astronaut preparing for a space mission. The final preparation began last night.

My last solid meal was at 8pm – my favourite BK ! At 1am this morning, I purged the solde waste from my body. My first time using an enema!

At the dive site, a lot of people came – friends, supporters & media. After a long time getting dressed. I finally jumped into the tank & the clock started at 3.34 pm.

A lot of passers-by, they all cheered, waved & wrote encouraging messages. I'm very touched indeed. People from all races & ages. This is a good community bonding opportunity.

Wee Leng and Sheng Feng came by at about 10 pm. I feel sad that they can't come in to join me in the tank.
