On 25 May 1998, Swee Chiow and his partner Edwin become the 1st Singaporeans to stand on the summit of Mt Everest.
Swee Chiow dreamed of climbing Everest in 1989 when he first saw the mountain in Nepal. Since then, he embarked on a 9-year journey to fufill his dream.
